London

Reflection:

In London, We did two escape rooms. My initial opinion when hearing about escape room is that they are just like word puzzles or riddles which I don't enjoy as much. After doing the first one, I really enjoyed it. They really put you in the environment of the situation that you have been put in. We did a virus and finding a cure (ironic now) and the set really looked like a very expensive lab to do research. I had lots of fun with the first one which I did only with one of my group members. We then met at the library to work on workflow and other things relating to commune. Later that evening, we did another escape room with all our group members. This one was more tricky because the puzzles were more complicated. I liked the concept of this one more though because it was horror while the other one was more Sci-Fi. Having not ever doing escape rooms, I was happily surprised after doing them and realising I enjoy them.

Oxford

Reflection:

The weather was not great, there was constant rain but we didn't let this stop us. Instead We choose to do mostly indoor activities like museums. To get to Oxford, We took about an hour bus ride, I slept the way there so it was not bad. When first arriving, we decided to go to the Ashmolean Museum first. This was helpful to some of my other group members. One of my members was studying about Greek Mythology while my other group member was studying about signs. After this museum, we went to the natural history museum. This was very intriguing for me because they had artefacts from different countries, I found some pottery and tools that were used in African Countries. There were a ton of artefacts in this one space that were very interesting to explore. In this same museum, there were also skeletons of extinct animals which was more personally interesting rather than relating to my project. We ate dinner and spent the rest of the day talking about what we think we were planning for our project. We took a bus back to London late.

Bristol

Reflection:

We left early as well for the Bristol bus especially since it was a two hour bus ride. This bus ride felt much longer, most likely due to that I didn't sleep at all on the bus. The weather was only cloudy so we decided to do both indoor and outdoor activities. We went to another natural history museum, this was mostly about animals so we went through it quickly since it didn't relate much to our projects. Our outdoor activity was going to suspension bridge and The Giants cave. This was exciting and different to the other things we did, I throughly enjoyed this. We got to go down into the cave which opens up to a different view of suspension bridge. After we went and met up with one of my group members friend who went to school in Bristol. He showed us different areas and it was nice to have a guide member from someone who lived there. We took the late bus back to London. I was unable to sleep on this one too.

In Oxford and Bristol, we would play a commune activity where we had to find a book for the other person relating to their projects. These are some books I choose for one of my group members who was studying his project about Greek Mythology.

For the music activity, I got shown these two songs. The first song Mystery of Love, I knew this song before so it was nice to see a familiar taste in music. Mystery of Love, I used to listen to it a lot during summer and always associate it with warm weather and blue skies. Listening to it in a rainy oxford bus was odd for me. The other song was all instrumental which was different for me because I always listen to songs with lyrics. I enjoyed it lot.

We created another commune activity to get to know each other more. We decided to share a song to each person that we liked. I choose Adorn by Miguel for Nadine and Houstonfornication by Travis Scott. These are honestly just random songs that I enjoy. I got positive feedback from both my group members about the songs.
